Aspara Pacific was established in 1990 by Dr Peter Falloon and his wife Linda. Peter is a plant breeder with over 35 years of experience in breeding new vegetable cultivars. With particular emphasis on asparagus and potatoes, Peter has focused on improving the quality of seed production so farmers can achieve the best possible yields.
Aspara Pacific has a plant tissue culture laboratory and level 2 quarantine tunnelhouses at its base near Christchurch, New Zealand. New varieties of asparagus are bred and evaluated on the same site.
